The Technical Account Manager looks after existing customers and supports sales staff with new accounts. This typically entails building and maintaining exceptionally strong working relationships with the customer at many levels of their organisation.
Liaise with decision makers and architects to disseminate and communicate the value of the company's products, ensuring that projects are wholly successful long-term.
Company orientation and intensive product training will require being based internationally (UK or USA) for 6 to 12 months.
REQUIRED SKILL SETS
Masters or PhD in Engineering, Information Technology or relevant (Essential)
A strong technical background, coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills and strong presentational capabilities is a requirement.
Must be customer and delivery focused - equally comfortable talking to developers on technical topics as presenting to a senior audience.
It is expected to develop a broad and deep knowledge of products and the applicability across the data processing spectrum.
Past experience in the data arena, perhaps with databases, major development languages or environments, or with other major vendors would be preferable.
Demonstrable successful experience operating in a sales or pre-sales environment and having a high level of commercial awareness is essential.
